Angela "Angie" Kay McDonald

Angela Kay McDonald, 69, of Gilbert, AZ died August 31, 2022 in Mesa, Arizona.

Angie was born on November 5, 1952 to Raymond Gilbert Baker and Ethel Louise Flynn in Ajo, Arizona.

Angie attended Arizona State University receiving a Master's Degree with honors.  Angie married John McDonald on February 14, 1986.  Together they had four children:  LaTosha (Steven) Roberts; Christie (Carl) Brooks; Jason (Mika) Cheatham and Heather (Ben) Kenney.

Angela worked 25 years in special education, administration, curriculum and instruction.  She was an accomplished business woman starting her own school specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders.  Angie was very passionate about her family and never missed family events.  She always wanted to stay busy with new hobbies and learn different things.

Angie is survived by her husband John McDonald.  Her children:  LaTosha Roberts, Christie Brooks, JAson Cheatham and Heather Kenney.  Grandchildren:  Britney (Reece) Charlebois, Ashley (Tyler) Burt, Brendan Brooks, Jackson Flood, James Cheatham, Lily Martin, Basil Cheatham, Kaydee Martin, Sarah Cheatham, Isla Kenney, Jacob Cheatham and Ava Cheatham.

Preceeding Angie in death were her parents and a sister, LaDonna Baker.

Friends and family may visit together at the LDS Church, Val Vista Ward, 230 North Val Vista Dr., Gilbert, Az September 9, 2022 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and September 10, 2022 from 10:00-10:45 a.m.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m..

Internment will be at the Mesa City Cemetery, 1212 N. Center Street, Mesa, AZ at 1:30 p.m.
