David Gastello Torres

David Gastello Torres Sr. 65, was born May 13, 1958 and was raised in Guadalupe, AZ.  At a young age, he was taught to drive trucks, a profession he continued throughout his life, eventually visiting all 50 states.  When not behind the wheel, David enjoyed spending time with Nancy and his children.  David had an open heart for everyone, many of his friends were considered family, a trait he passed down to his children.  As he got older and his family grew, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren became his cherished pastime.
 

David peacefully passed away at his home in Mesa AZ, surrounded by family on April 25, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his son, David "Nino" Torres Jr.  David is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy, children Jennifer (Herman) Buck, Melissa Torres, Andrea (Michael) Vizcarra, Jeannette (Mario) Torres, Evan, Giovanni, Joshua, Layla, and Kayla.

David had 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren which he loved very much.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Rosalio and Angelita Hernandez, and Arthur Torres.  He is also survived by his siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in the chapel at City of Grace church, 655 E University Dr, Mesa, AZ 85203 on May 4, 2024.  Visitation begins at 10a.m. with the services at 12p.m.  Reception will follow immediately after services.  A private burial for the family will be held at a later date.
