Martin Ronald “Marty” Dershewitz, 79, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Marty was defined by a strong work ethic and a love for adventure. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in History, a passion that fueled his lifelong interest in exploring the world.

Marty built a successful career in telecommunications, eventually founding his own company, which he led until his recent retirement.

He embraced life fully and found great joy in traveling. One of his greatest dreams was realized when he and his wife purchased a home in Mexico, where he loved spending the winters. There, he enjoyed exploring the mountains and desert on his ATV and taking in the beauty of the surroundings.

Marty had a love for music, the game of baseball, good food and, above all, time spent with family and friends. He will be remembered for his wit, storytelling, and the many memories he created with those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Leah Dershewitz; his son, Seth Dershewitz; and his grandchildren, Corbin Dershewitz and Aayla Dershewitz. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
