Mary Joline Collier Ashcroft, beloved mother, wife, and mother-in-law, passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2024 as she was on a morning walk near her home.
Born on August 12, 1986 in Magna, Ut, Salt Lake County. She was the 11th of 13 children born to Fred and Nancy Collier. Her father writes and publishes books relating to religion. Her mother is a devoted mother and homemaker. Mary was homeschooled and had a high level of understanding that came with her education.
Mary married Scott Ashcroft on May 30, 2003 in La Quevado, Chihuahua, Mexico. Together with their family they lived in Queen Creek, AZ, Hanna, UT and San Tan Valley, AZ. Mary was devoted to loving and teaching her four boys. Like herself, she homeschooled her children. The children developed close relationships with each other as she managed the home with care. Mary appreciated all of her family and friends and loved talking to them on the phone, as many lived out of state.
She leaves behind her loving husband Scott, four children (Ammon and his wife Eliza, Alan, Morgan and Preston, and numerous other siblings including 20 brothers and sisters and their wives as follows: Ann, Opal and Bill Harwell, Clint and Heidi Collier, Mike and Shaelene Collier, Genie, Naomi and Samuel Collier, Sara and Tim Mundy, Adam and Keri Collier, Ruth and Larry Behrens, Holly Collier, David and Stephanie Collier, Joshua Collier, Hyrum and Elizabeth Collier, Emmanuel and Sharon Collier, Israel and Ariel Collier, Christian and Brooklyn Collier, April and Dalin Graham, Freedom and Cassie Collier, Noah Collier, Eva Collier, Hannah Barton, and Shem Collier. There are also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles with other family members.
Mary was preceded in death by her grandparents on both sides of the family.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 11 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Stone Creek Ward Chapel located at 33794 N. Gary Rd. Queen Creek, AZ 85142. Viewing will precede the funeral beginning at 9:30 am.
Mary will be buried at the Eagar, AZ City Cemetery on Tuesday, November 12. Graveside service will begin at 11:00 am.
