Olivia spent her younger years in Chandler and graduated from Chandler High School in May 1949.
In the early 1950's she moved to California and acquired a position at China Lake Ordinance Station. She worked as a technical LIbrarian. It could be said that she was a pioneer in her field since she was head of the team who switched from the hand written work to computer use. Olivia retired from China LAke in the 1970's and returned to Chandler. She became very involved at her parish St. Mary's and spent many hours on Charity work for St Vincent De Paul. She met her husband Jerry Fishback (a winter visitor from Chicago) while volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul. They were married on the 19th of August 1992 and spent their winters in Sunlakes, Arizona and the summers in Chicago. They spent most of their free time volunteering for St. Vincent De Paul until his death in 2010.
Olivia, at 92, was a very, very independant lady who still live by herself and drove wherever she desired. There are some who considered her an aggresive driver. She devoted her time to St. Vincent De Paul, reading, dinners with the girls every Saturday night and as many luncheons as possible during the week. She loved football and her favorite teams were Notre Dams and the Arizona Cardinals.
Almighty Father, hear our prayers for your daughter Olivia whom you have called from this life to Yourself. Grant her light, happiness and peace. PArdon her sins and give her Eternal Life in your kingdom. We ask this through Christ ou Lord. Amen
